Description
Asplundh Engineering is seeking Electrical Estimators for full-time, permanent positions in Idaho. Candidates should be located within a commutable distance to the Idaho Falls, Rexburg, and Shelley areas. The chosen candidate will primarily work on-site in and around Idaho Falls.
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing power designs for infrastructure upgrades, facility replacements, new customer installations, and various electric utility projects throughout Idaho. This role also involves performing engineering calculations, applying state tariffs, preparing contracts and easements, and overseeing general project documentation.
Applicants must have knowledge of power system design, distribution, and transmission construction, and relevant engineering and design software.
Create electrical construction plans for various projects such as new customer services, subdivision developments, overhead reconductoring, pole replacements, solar/net metering upgrades, and underground facility replacements.
Required Experience and Education:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access).
Ability to use engineering software such as Spida Calc, Ocalc, Cyme, and programs for cable pulling calculations, guying, and power quality analysis.
