Since 1981, Asplundh Electrical Testing Co., LLC (AET) has been a national provider of substation commissioning, acceptance testing and maintenance services to electrical transmission, distribution, and generation clients, as well as large users of electrical power. AET has evolved into a successful industry leader and one of the largest independent electrical testing companies in North America. AET is NETA (International Electrical Testing Association) certified and maintains full member status.
We maintain a staff of highly trained engineers and technicians offering testing services for electrical power systems and equipment from low voltage through transmission level voltages up to 745kV.
Job Description
Position Type: Full-time
Primary Duties Include:
- Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting and maintaining of substation equipment.
- Equipment includes power transformers, circuit breakers, switches, and cables.
- Tests include power-factor, insulation resistance, functional operation and more.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will likely have the following qualities:
- Test Technician must have a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing substation equipment such as circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and similar equipment in high voltage environments.
- Experience testing substation equipment with industry standard platforms (Doble preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with proven commitment to safety, collaborative relationship skills and customer service.
