Description
As a Substation Engineer with Asplundh Engineering Services (AES), you will maintain a range of responsibilities involving Substations, including protection and control and physical design. You will assist in completing assignments independently, as well as working closely with other engineering and design team members to fulfill distinct roles across multiple projects.
Develop electrical substation drawings including single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, physical layouts, sections and elevations, and other related details and sketches
Perform design calculations and analysis such as grounding system analysis, lightning protection, voltage drop, power system sizing (AC and DC), and other industry-standard calculations
Develop technical equipment and construction specifications, work scopes, estimates, and recommendation reports as needed by the project
Must be proficient with typical office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows
Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, and other industry standards and their applicability to diverse types of substations
